I arrived in San Diego yesterday for the kickoff of our official training hike season. I'm so excited I can't stand it. I'll probably work out twice today so I don't get embarrassed tomorrow, when we do a 2.5 hour hike at Lake Poway.
!2 people have committed to the Everest Base Camp and I hope to meet most of them this weekend. We'll have a second hike on Sunday in Ramona, CA, not too far from Poway. 3+ miles. Not a lot of elevation in these two hikes but wait until later in the summer.
I'm stocked up on Power Bars, Gatorade, and bananas. Good Lord, just don't let me bonk during these hikes!!
Nothing yet to photograph, but wait until tomorrow!
